How does groceries price tracking work?

Every week, aubaine.ca reads the flyers of Quebec's major merchants and extracts every product with its price. These readings accumulate week after week: for each product you see today's price and its history — a price logbook that never stops. 7,399 products are currently tracked in this section.

What is it for?

Knowing whether a "special" really is one. A displayed discount means nothing without a reference point; with the history you see at a glance whether this week's price is genuinely lower than usual. It's the tool to decide when to buy and where.

A tool that improves every week

The more weeks go by, the deeper the history gets and the more reliable the comparisons become: discount cycles, floor prices, seasons. The database grows on its own, every Thursday with the new flyers.

Why come back often?

Because prices change every week. What you pay full price for today may hit its floor price next Thursday — and the best deals go fast. A quick look before writing your grocery list means you always buy at the right time.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the prices come from?
Straight from the official flyers of Quebec merchants, extracted every week. Every price is dated and linked to its store.
Are prices up to date?
Yes — each week's flyers are added every Thursday, and the history keeps all previous weeks.
How do I know a discount is real?
Open the product page: the history curve shows past weeks' prices. If this week's price is below its usual level, the discount is real.
Is it free?
Completely. No registration needed to browse prices and history.
How often should I check this section?
Once a week, ideally on Thursday when the new flyers come in — that's when new discounts appear.

💛 Our promise: helping you save. Despite all the care we put into tracking prices, we simply cannot guarantee they are accurate at all times — they come from flyers and merchants and can change without notice. Every week, we work to give you a fair and reliable picture so you can follow your products, spot real discounts and buy at the right time, at the best price. At aubaine.ca, every dollar saved matters: our mission is to hunt down the best deals for you. Always confirm the final price in store or with the merchant.
